Garage Floor Coating

Durable epoxy coating that turns a stained concrete garage into a sealed, easy-to-clean floor.

We coat garage floors with a two-part epoxy system that bonds directly to your concrete. The process starts with grinding down the surface to open the pores, then we apply a primer and two coats of epoxy. In Conroe's heat and humidity, a sealed floor keeps moisture and oil stains from soaking in. It's the difference between a floor that looks new and one that looks like it's been there ten years.

The work takes two to three days total, depending on the size of your garage. We grind first, which kicks up dust, so we seal off the space and use industrial vacuums. After primer sits overnight, we apply the first epoxy coat, then the second coat the next day. You can't use the garage for 48 hours after the final coat, but the floor hardens faster in our Texas heat than it would up north.

When we're done, you get a garage floor that's smooth and glossy underfoot. Spilled oil and brake fluid sit on top instead of staining concrete. A quick sweep and mop keeps it clean. The floor holds up to tire traffic, tool drops, and years of use without peeling or flaking if the prep work is done right.

Questions

About garage floor coating

How long does an epoxy garage floor last?

With normal use, seven to ten years is typical. Heavy traffic or direct sunlight can shorten that. We see floors last longer when owners keep them swept and don't let standing water sit on them.

What if my garage gets really hot in summer?

Heat actually helps epoxy cure faster, which is good for us. The real issue is UV damage over time if your garage door is open a lot. That's why we offer topcoats with UV protection if you want extra durability.

Can I apply epoxy myself?

You can buy DIY kits, but the concrete prep is where most people fail. If the surface isn't ground and cleaned properly, the epoxy won't bond. You end up with peeling within a year or two.
